Accommodations in the Niagara Falls Area

Visitors have a number of choices for lodging in the Niagara Falls area. You can stay in a large hotel near the casinos or a romantic bed and breakfast or just about anything in between.  For many travelers, the first decision is whether to stay on the Canadian or American side. The Canadian side offers the best vantage points for viewing the falls by a wide margin.

If you want a quieter, more romantic stay, consider Niagara-on-the-Lake.

• Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada - The Canadian side has the best views of the Falls. The city can be congested and busy but you are right in the heart of the action.
• Niagara Falls, New York - United States. An advantage for United States Citizens is that you don't have to cross the border. The disadvantage is that you don't get the best views of the falls.
• Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada - This is a beautiful little town with some great hotels and a variety of bed-and-breakfasts. The atmosphere is Victorian and romantic. There is a lot less hustle and bustle than Niagara Falls New York or Niagara Falls, Ontario. The town is about a 20 minute drive from the Falls.
• St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada - St. Catharines is a city about 10 miles west of Niagara Falls Ontario. It is an alternative when bookings are difficult during the busy season.
