If you walk a little ways upriver from table rock, you can see the Niagara River just before it goes over the falls.

American Falls in the Morning

The picture above is of the American Falls in the early morning as viewed from the Canadian side. The buildings are Niagara Falls, New York.

If you arrive early enough, you can almost have the Falls to yourself.  The crowds will get progressively thicker as the day goes on.  If you arrive early you can easily move around for picture taking and just plain enjoying the falls.
